Celtic Colours Guided Hike: Franey Trail

This challenging loop climbs through Acadian forest to a dramatic lookout overlooking the Clyburn Valley, Middle Head Peninsula, and the Atlantic coastline. Along the way, discover the natural and cultural history of the area while enjoying the colours of autumn during the Celtic Colours International Festival. Distance: 13 km (loop) Difficulty: Difficult Elevation: 17- 423 m Duration: 5-6 hours This hike includes sustained climbs, steep sections, stairs, and uneven terrain. Participants should be comfortable hiking longer distances and come prepared with sturdy footwear, water, snacks, and weather-appropriate clothing. Advance registration is recommended.
